Managing Liberty HealthShare Patient Accounts 

• Because we are not a health insurance provider, Liberty HealthShare members are free to visit any provider or facility that agrees to work with Liberty HealthShare, regardless of network or referral.
• Each Liberty HealthShare member should present their membership card at the time of service. 
• Healthcare providers and facilities send members’ bills for treatment and services to Liberty HealthShare. Sharing eligibility for treatment and services is determined by the Liberty HealthShare Sharing Guidelines. The Sharing Guidelines are publicly available on our website and provided to all of our members. In addition, the Liberty HealthShare team will work with the member to determine if a treatment or service is shareable prior to receiving the treatment or service.

Sending a Bill to a Healthcare Sharing Ministry 

Healthcare providers may send medical bills using either of the standard billing forms (HCFA 1500 or UB-04) to Liberty HealthShare electronically or by mail. Medical bills not submitted within 180 days of the date of service are not eligible for sharing.

Our members look to the Liberty HealthShare community for support, guidance, and provider recommendations.

Liberty HealthShare partners with HST and the Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS) Network  to equip our members with the tools and information to help them find providers that support them and empower our community (HST Connect). A member may nominate a provider who is not a part of the PHCS Network by emailing info@libertyhealthshare.org. We will then initiate the nomination process in partnership with our vendors.
