Liberty HealthShare and The Canton Repository join together to be a force for good in our home community of Stark County, Ohio.
Sharing Hearts funding will provide support for families seeking to provide their children with important wellness procedures, but who have had to forego these important wellness procedures due to costs.
The Sharing Hearts Fund will be disbursed twice yearly.

Twice a year, applications for Sharing Hearts funding will open for residents of Stark County, Ohio.
Families seeking funding for children under 18 will go through an application process during which they will identify their desired procedure and demonstrate their financial need.
An Application Review Committee comprised of Stark County residents and leaders in fields working toward the well-being of Stark children will review the applications.
All applications received by 5pm on April 30, 2025 will be considered for this first cycle of funding.
All dollars awarded are generated through grants and donations from community partners and are separate and distinct from member SharePower or normal operations of the Liberty HealthShare sharing ministry.

Dr. Klinestiver is the Medical Director of Pulmonary & Respiratory Services at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana. He has been an active physician for more than 21 years, specializing in diseases of the lungs, especially emphysema, asthma, lung infections and the diagnosis of lung cancer. Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Everett was one of the founding members of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Paris, Tennessee. He took leadership of the church’s medical cost-sharing ministry in 1997. In 1991 Everett founded a flourishing outdoor power equipment sales company, 54 Lawn and Garden. Everett led the effort to secure recognition of Calvary HealthCare Sharing Ministry, Inc. by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2014, as well as uniting the sharing families of Calvary with Liberty HealthShare in 2014. Everett resides in Paris, Tennessee, with his wife, Elmina, and their six children.

Why did Liberty HealthShare create the Sharing Hearts Fund?
In an effort to increase the impact of our ministry on the betterment of life in Stark County. We are in a position to help more people, so we decided to do so.

What is The Canton Repository’s role?
The Canton Repository is helping us to ensure that the residents of Stark County know about this potential resource for families with pediatric wellness needs.

What kind of medical services can be funded?
Our focus is pediatric wellness, so examples would be a physical exam, vision exam and glasses, hearing tests, and dental exams and cleanings. These are all important procedures and can have a lasting impact on the lives of children.

Is there a maximum that will be awarded for any individual request?
We are planning to distribute $25,000 in this first round of funding and hope to help as many young people under 18 as possible. The following limits apply: Physical exams up to $400, dental exams and cleaning up to $400, vision exams and eyeglasses up to $500, and hearing tests up to $300.
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the procedure for which there is the greatest need.

Who will make the decisions about who is awarded funding?
We have established an Application Review Committee made up of community leaders and Liberty HealthShare personnel. Our goal is to help as many people as possible with the available funding.

Yes! In your application, you have an opportunity to explain why this funding is necessary, regardless of employment.

I am a member of another health sharing organization, am I eligible to receive funding?
Yes, the Sharing Hearts Fund is separate and distinct from Liberty HealthShare customary operations. We base decisions on financial need, not on membership.

Can I apply for funding to help my grandchildren?
Yes, you are encouraged to apply for any young person under 18 in need of these procedures related to pediatric wellness.

What are the requirements for the application?
The ten-minute application goes over contact information, available assistance, and details of the requested procedure.
During the application, you will be required to provide the procedure or service, estimated cost, and provider information. Please confirm this information with your provider prior to submitting your application.

When will the first round of disbursements take place?
The deadline for application will be April 30, 2025 at 5pm. Our plan is to evaluate all requests for funding and make decisions by mid-May, with the notification taking place before June 1. -
Where did the money in the Sharing Hearts Fund come from?
All funds come from donations and grants. None of the funding comes from Liberty HealthShare members' sharing dollars. This is a charitable effort, separate and distinct from the normal operations of the healthcare sharing ministry.
