Epi-Pens & Other High-Cost Pharmaceuticals

By now, you’ve probably heard about the skyrocketing price of Epi-Pens (epinephrine injection). If you need to keep epinephrine nearby to treat a severe allergic reaction, you know why recent developments are financially burdensome and could even be devastating for some. Epi-pens, or at least some form of injectable adrenaline, are not a luxury for those who need them. For this reason, we are thrilled to be bringing you good news about how SavNet can assist our Liberty Complete and Liberty Plus members in obtaining their Epi-Pens at greatly reduced prices or in many cases, for free.

In a survey of major metro areas in the top five states where Liberty HealthShare operates, SavNet was able to offer savings of approximately 50 to 60% off brand name Epi-Pens. In addition to this service, SavNet has teamed up with RxHelpCenters, a concierge prescription drug advocacy service that assists self-pay patients such as our members with managing their expensive brand name drug and specialty drug costs.

Members are not required to use this service, but if you are spending more than $75 for any one prescription or $100 or more per month for all your prescriptions, it would be worthwhile to investigate what RxHelpCenters has to offer.

To determine if this program might benefit you or your dependents, click here. You will be asked to complete a brief survey, after which an advocate will contact you personally and confidentially to discuss your situation and possible ways RxHelpCenters can assist. Please note that RxHelpCenters does not accept inbound telephone calls.

For more information, click the link above to visit RxHelpCenters and see if they can significantly lower your or a family member's drug costs. Keep in mind that although this service is primarily targeted to more expensive brand name and specialty drugs, it is very possible that the concierge service can help with other pharmaceutical costs as well.

This is just one of the ways that SavNet is working to help Liberty HealthShare members. We know how important it is for our members to direct and manage their healthcare in a financially responsible and conservative way, so we are pleased to be sharing another practical way to do just that.
