Employee Spotlight: Meet Mariah
A family connection brought Mariah Loveday to Liberty HealthShare, but it has been her love for a Christian environment that has caused her to stay. Loveday’s mother, DeeAnn, encouraged her daughter’s interest in the ministry, leading her to start in a position in the mail room in 2017. Since that time, Mariah has been promoted to positions of increasing responsibility in data entry, and to her current position as Team Lead in Medical Bill Processing.
“Prior to coming to Liberty HealthShare, I worked for the Hartville Kitchen, and that Christian environment really suited me,” said Loveday. “It has been the same way here at our ministry. I really like what we stand for and how we help people. It has been a wonderful experience.”
A Uniontown, Ohio native, Loveday was active in athletics and musicals during her high school days. Those experiences shaped who she is today.
“I played basketball and performed in musicals and that really helped me to get over being shy,” said Loveday. “It taught me how to work as part of a team and how to develop relationships with people. Those same skills help me in my role here with our team. We are very close and I enjoy being able to answer questions and help my teammates as we do our work on behalf of the ministry.”
In her 7-plus years of employment, Loveday has witnessed a significant amount of change. “Change is part of life, we all have to deal with it, and it has been good for me,” she said. “What has not changed is the family atmosphere found here among employees. We genuinely care about one another and work together to provide the best experience we possibly can. It is a source of great pride for me.”
The leadership provided by Liberty HealthShare Chief Executive Officer Dorsey Morrow resonates with Loveday.
“He’s the type of Christian leader we need and deserve,” said Loveday. “He is personable and approachable, and he truly knows everyone. He knows more than names; he knows who you are as a person and what is going on in your life. He is authentic. It is very encouraging to work for someone like that.”
More change is on the horizon for Loveday. She recently became engaged to her fiancé, Norman, an IT Director for school systems. They enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, and other outdoor activities.
“Family is very important to me” said Loveday. “I hope to start a family and provide the kind of home that I grew up in. I had an extraordinary childhood and want to carry that atmosphere of care and love forward. It is an exciting time for me.”
